GL POOLS

GL Pools Channel Letter Set angle

GL Pools started in 2006. They are a leading provider of pool services in San Diego County. They are honest and skilled professionals that ensure top-notch care for your pools and spas year-round. If you have a pool and need major repairs or weekly maintenance, you should give them a call. Signs for San Diego makes channel Letters. We start with raw aluminum and cut, bend, attach and create custom channel letter sets. These are often unique signs to advertise unique businesses. We use GE LEDs and power supplies at our facility in San Marcos, CA.

How we make channel Letters

Returns or sides. These come in all sizes, but three inches, five inches and seven inches are common.  We provide any color, but red, black, and white are common. The backs come with electrical holes, and mounting holes ready to match a paper pattern that will be used to drill holes in the wall. The LEDs are taped and silicone to the back with low voltage wiring. This wiring runs through the holes in drill into the wall, Behind the wall we gather these wires up and connect them to a 12 VDC power supplies. The light is “channeled” to the face.

The face is Acrylic, about 3/16” thick, we apply a translucent vinyl in the color the customer wants, and you are a “trim cap”. Trim cap is a plastic transition piece connected to the Acrylic, but facing 90 degrees down. This creates the face, like the lid of a shoe box. We can then screw the face into the returns with screws.

Why channel letters?

In the day, the LEDs are not needed, but when it gets dark, we have a clock that powers up the power supplies and 12VDC runs into the LEDs. The LEDs light and the letters light up. The same clock turns the power off at a set time. Maybe midnight, or 2AM, or any time GL Pools like.

Why channel letters?

Channel letters are the most common type of signs found in shopping malls. Channel Letters are also used in other types of business locations, like standalone buildings, highway visible buildings and business parks. Investing in channel letters is a decision you will never regret. Want a great custom sign? Give us a call and we can make your vision was a reality, Signs for San Diego, 760-730-5118
